                                                                                      LIBRARY NEWS

On July 21, the Wornstaff Library’s main meeting room space, used for both library programs and outside groups, will be receiving a much-needed renovation. Because of the length of time needed to update the space, the library will not be offering programs or allow groups to use the space until the renovation is completed. Our hope is that programming will begin in September in the new space. If it is not quite ready, library programming will take place upstairs.

In 2024, Wornstaff Library was a recipient of funds through the OTSCIF (One-Time Strategic Community Investment Fund) from the Ohio Senate. Combined with money the library has saved, the staff and Board are very excited to begin the renovation this year.

The room renovation will include a new accessible bathroom with a changing table, new flooring, paint, and lighting.  In addition, a new entry door will be installed. Thanks to funding from our Friends of the Wornstaff Library and a grant from the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities, an accessible door opener will also be added. Wornstaff Library will also be upgrading the technology in the space so groups and the library can have virtual meetings.

Wornstaff Library will be holding an open house on Saturday, October 4 to reveal to the community the updated space. More details about the event to follow.

Thank you,

Amee
